So you used to be Mormon, and now you don’t know what to think. You know that the Mormon Church is not the truth that it claimed to be, but is there a God? What, if any, kind of higher power exists? Who is that higher power? Or maybe you’ve given up on the concept of a higher power all together.
Whether you are Atheist, Agnostic, or still searching, there’s something you need to know. The “higher power” of Mormonism is demonic in origin. If your definition of who God is derives from the teachings of the Mormon Church, your picture of God is far from accurate.
Deception is dangerous because it doesn’t consist of bold-faced lies. If it did, anyone with half a brain could see through it like a cheesy parlor trick. No, deception is dangerous because it taints 99% truth with just enough of a lie to make it false. It sounds true, it looks true, but in fact, it is false. For example, if I offer you a glass of lemonade with only one drop of highly toxic poison in it, is it lemonade or arsenic?
Satan and his minions have perfected the art of spiritual poisoning through the teachings of the Mormon Church. God’s real message to you is twisted and mixed with lies to create a seducing deception that destroys you inside while you strive to do the right thing.
God’s real message to you is very simple and very clear. Acknowledge him in your life, and you are saved. He loves you unconditionally. Meaning, you don’t have to participate in temple ceremonies, you don’t have to be married, you don’t even have to go to church. Your relationship with God is a spiritual and personal experience, not a cookie cutter, follow-the-rules-or-else religion. Certainly not something that can be dictated to you through Mormon doctrine.
As Mormons we were taught that to deny the church meant to deny Christ. However, if you read about Christ you’ll see that 99% of what he taught is completely contradicted by Mormon doctrine. So if you are following a religion that teaches just the opposite of what Jesus taught then who are you really following? Certainly not Christ. To coin a spine-chilling phrase, some may even call it Anti-Christ.
So who is God and why don’t more Mormons know about him? Well, when you were Mormon how many people encouraged you to study the true nature of God? Don’t tell me, I already know the answer. In fact, Mormon leaders can be quoted as to their belief that striving to know God is inappropriate and vulgar. Another reason is that the main source of information about the real God is the Bible. Which is highly discredited by the Mormon Church as being tainted, translated incorrectly, fallible, certainly not something that can be trusted. Yes friends, the last thing they want is for you to destroy the illusion that they’ve worked so hard to create.
So on your road to spiritual enlightenment ask yourself one question. Why did I leave the Mormon Church? Give it some thought, write your answers down and ponder them if need be. Was it the doctrine, the people, or were you angry with God? If you were, was it the real God you were angry with? Did you ever really know who God was? Take a minute and consider the idea that it was God that opened your eyes to the man behind the curtain and got you away from the deception.
Friends, walking away from Mormonism doesn’t put you in “outer darkness”. God, the REAL God, loves you unconditionally. That means without conditions attached to it, no matter what. No strings, no smoke and no mirrored walls. (pun intended)
My challenge to you is this. Separate your belief in God and your belief in the Mormon Church. They are NOT one-in-the-same. If you are seeking answers about a higher power and you feel that when it comes to God you’ve, “been there, done that, and got the t-shirt”, think again. Pick up a Bible, (quads don’t count) start in the New Testament, and research for yourself. Don’t rule out the possibility of God being the higher power that you seek. After all, every journey, (even those of enlightenment) starts with a single-step.
